Baan ChaaNa ("House of Victory") Muay Thai, is Budo Ryu's traditional Thai kickboxing program. We are the ONLY program in the Central Coast to offer traditional Muay Thai classes for all levels. July 2009:
•The "Ultimate Warriors" Sanctioned Show in Anaheim, promoted by Suriya & Suriyan of Sitramasoon, proved to be another great night for the Baan ChaaNa Fight Team! Janet started off the night as first bout on the card and pummeled her opponent, Victoria Beltran of the Boxing Zone, into submission by technical knockout 53 seconds into the second round with a devastating right hand to the body! In the seventh bout of the night, Sean squared off against his opponent, Laban of Sidyodtong, and taught him a lesson in the art of the muay thai clench! Congratulations to both Sean and Janet on a fantastic night of fights!
June 2009:
•Congratulations to Art on his debut fight at the sanctioned show, War of the Heroes III in Santa Clara! This was Art's first time in a ring and he did it sans shin pads, and full of heart!
May 2009:
•What a great display of heart and athleticism from Baan ChaaNa's Adriana and Zoarel in their recent fights at South Coast Martial Arts! Adriana was victorious over her opponent from Charlene of Legends Gym in unanimous decision, 30-27, all three rounds! Adriana gave "punch drill" a whole new meaning.... Zoarel was inspiring in her bout vs. Priscilla Solano of Sidyodtong! Zoarel (with a record of 1-0-0) battled Priscilla (with over 10+ fights experience)!
April 2009:
•Congratulations to Steve and Josh on their recent victories over their opponents in their fights at the 15th Annual Battle of the Badges Charity Boxing Show! Josh won, by unanimous decision from all three judges, and Steve pulverized his opponent and won by knock out early in the second round!
•South Coast Martial Arts proved to be a true slugfest for Sonny and Laine's debut fights! Laine tutored his opponent from Legends on the art of the Muay Thai clench! Sonny's bout vs. his opponent from The Yard was the definitely the crowd favorite of the night. Sonny brought home a win by unanimous decision!
•Congratulations to Jessica & Nathan on their debut fights at the 2009 Hollywood Songkran Festival! Jessica battled her opponent from Sidyodtong and came out victorious by unanimous decision! Nathan squared off against his opponent from Dobler's Team Double Dose and won by unanimous decision!
November 2008:
•It was a exciting night at the Sidyodtong Smokers in Pasadena! Adriana and Zoarel turned the heat on their opponents in their debut smoker fights, Adriana's bout resulting in a draw and Zoarel's fight resulting in a unanimous decision by all three judges! Caleb displayed athleticism and great technique over his opponent!
May 2008:
•The Dennis Warner WCK Muay Thai Sanctioned Show in the San Manuel Casino in Highland, CA left the Budo Ryu team with all smiles! Geri brought home a victory over Patty Van Der Meulen of Muay Thai Academy by unamimous decision with all three judges scoring 30-29 in favor of Geri.
